I followed the instructions of the previous post by magicmk, which follow some instructions from the original post, but without success. Really amazing job, and I don't have to throw out my 15+ year old scanner that now still works beautifully in 2019. Thanks to everyone who contributed helpful info in this thread.

Really, it was a matter of download, extract the inf, then set up the driver install with Device Manager. (I did download the toolbox software in case I need it at some point in the future.)Īlso, wanted to quickly add that I didn't need to jump through any extra hoops as far as disabling "Device Driver Signing" (mentioned in OP's post) and I did not try any third party/generic drivers. It worked fine and opens Adobe's "Scangear CS" as the scan utility. Side note, I did not install the Toolbox software, as I use Adobe ImageReady and Photoshop to import my scanner images. RollinJukebox explains this very well in post #10, it worked perfectly for me. The Device Manager program was the only one that worked for me with installing the driver. For me, I tried a couple of different other methods like Settings, and "Devices and Printers". You really need to use the Windows "Device Manager" utility as outlined in this thread.

Use a rar or zip utility to extract the setup.exe file, then use that utility again to open the setup.exe program and extract the CNQL60.inf file from that. the "Windows 7 (圆4)" option was the only choice that provided a download option for me.Ī couple of things I did wrong - I ran the setup.exe in the download file hoping it would install my driver. Then I realized there was a dropdown menu that would let me choose an OS.

I was able to use the Windows 7 (圆4) LiDE 60 driver from Canon's web site (link via a thread in OP's posting) because it first appeared to me that Canon wasn't going to allow me to download any drivers due to detecting my Win10 OS. I want to contribute a couple of helpful hints that either weren't posted or that I missed on this thread. So after a couple of hours of googling suggestions and tinkering with downloads, I finally got it figured out and yes, I wanted to post another success story. My phone has a camera scanner app, but it just doesn't do the same high quality scan you get from a good flatbed scanner. I very seldom scan items and wasn't about to go splurge on a new scanner after removing this one from 10+ years of hibernation in it's box. Hi all, so I too, have a LIDE 35 scanner and am running Windows 10 (Version 1803 build 17134.706, FWIW).
